Q. What security does Preo provide for data in transit?A. All data sent between any client and the Printelligence Database is sent via SSL, also known as the Secure Socket Layer protocol. When data is transmitted between two computers using SSL it is encrypted in a way that only the intended computer on the other end of the transaction can decrypt it. SSL is used by banks, multinational corporations and governments to protect sensitive data on the Internet. Preo uses the same SSL security for all data transmissions. Q. Does Preo collect any personal data?A. Preo does not collect, store or share ANY personal data. Q. How is information protected from theft and loss?A. Data is stored in a highly secure location protected with biometric authentication, video surveillance and a 24 hour security presence. System protection includes multiple layers of redundancy in disks, servers, power systems and HVAC. We also use the latest fire detection and suppression systems. Archive data is encrypted, backed up then stored offsite at multiple secure locations in different cities. To access the data electronically in the data center we use a sophisticated multi-factor authentication procedure.
